I thought Pam for sure would have Laughed at this one.

Gees, only two more days? We never did get around to carving pumpkins, nor did we get around to buying paint from Walmart to paint them because we seem to never find time to carve, so our pumpkins are just nekkid! Oh well, I guess if we don't carve or paint them, they'll still be suitable for Thanksgiving as just plain old pumpkins.

I am going to a wedding on Halloween. The couple met on a Halloween several years ago, so October 31st has always resonated lovingly for them.

At first I thought the whole wedding would have a Halloween motif. I imagined something like a wedding on the Munsters or the Addams Family with cobwebs, ghosts, and bats circling overhead in the mist. But no... it's just a regular wedding. *yawn*

My sister's best friend is also getting married on Halloween. What an odd coincidence.

I don't get the hype about Halloween, when I was a kid it wasn't much of a big thing. Loads of talk about how it's all linked to Satanism and evil. Its a lot bigger now in the UK but I don't allow my kids to celebrate it and most Christians in the UK actively discourage it. It does seem to be massive over the pond though!!

In America, it's not about satan. It's about CANDY!! I just want to make that clear.

This clip should explain it all.

I was confused. I thought Bini was referring to mirk and thought, "Oh my gosh! Pam killed mirk!"

The thought has crossed my mind at times. :P But who would I have posting zombies on my facebook page then? Unless his son took it on. He's just as bad. :)

Historically, halloween was "all hallows eve" the night before All Saints Day! But the pagans had a tradition of celebration on Oct 31 also. So what happened was a combining of two celebrations! Kinda of what happens over time.
