pam
The Savior shed tears for those who were rejected and slain. You may wonder if it is worth it to take a moral courageous stand in high school. Or go on a mission to suffer rejection. Yes it is worth it. Unfortunately messengers of the gospel are no more popular today than back in Christ’s time. Hate is an ugly word. The bumper sticker “What would Jesus do” will not always bring a popular response. Christlike love is the greatest need we have on this planet. Take heart. Pure Christ like love flowing from true righteousness can change the world. Live the gospel. Defend your beliefs with courtesy and compassion but defend them. Roseslipper

SpiritDragon
I definitely thought this was the best talk of the morning session. Leah and The Folk Prophet
Just_A_Guy
Elder Holland fortifying the youth against those who call the Church \"patriarchal\" and \"bigoted\"; Sister Reeves reinforcing that, yes, pornography really is a big deal; Elder Anderson encouraging Church members to hold the line on gay marriage; President Eyring confirming that the Church leadership understands its problems even better than do those who \"sound the alarm\" . . . This is shaping up to be a rough conference for the ark-steadying crowd. talisyn, classylady, SpiritDragon and 4 others

Connie
Wow. What a great talk. My favorite thought from this talk: "Christlike love is the greatest need we have on this planet in part because righteousness was always supposed to accompany it. So if love is to be our watchword, as it must be, then by the word of Him who is love personified, we must forsake transgression and any hint of advocacy for it in others. Jesus clearly understood what many in our modern culture seem to forget: that there is a crucial difference between the commandment to forgive sin (which He had an infinte capacity to do) and the warning against condoning it (which He never ever did even once). ...Pure Christlike love flowing from true righteousness can change the world." I never really gave much thought to this truth. This is an important connection between Christlike love and righteousness that gets forgotten all too often. I think this really needed to be said. pam and The Folk Prophet
