Dieter F. Uchtdorf - Sunday a.m. Session

There is one thing we can do that will make our life sweeter, even joyous: We can be grateful.

Sooner or later all of us experience times when the very fabric of our world tears at the seams.

Commandments are opportunities to exercise our agency and receive blessings

It is easy to be grateful for things when life seems to be going our way.

Don't believe that Lord expects us to be less thankful in times of trial than in times of abundance and ease.

The choice is ours.

We can choose to be as the Pioneers as they made their trek towards Salt Lake who rejoiced in their journey.

We can choose to be as Joseph Smith even when he was in Liberty Jail.

We sometimes think that being grateful is what we do after our problems have been solved.

Being grateful in times of distress does not mean we are happy with our circumstances.  It means we look beyond our present day challenges.

Being grateful in our circumstances is an act of faith in God.

Gratitude is an expression of hope and faith.

You do not need to see the Savior as the apostles did to see the same transformation.

Endings are not our destiny.

In Heavenly Father’s plan there are no endings, only everlasting beginnings.

Gratitude is a catalyst to all Christlike attributes.

May we raise our voices and show by word and deed our gratitude to our Father and Heaven and His son Jesus Christ.
