Guest Posted June 16, 2014 Report Share Posted June 16, 2014 Don't all radio use transistors these days... wouldn't it be tube (all electronics except guitar amplifiers here) that are the thing of the past?One thing I can remember is back in the day, computers told you it was now safe to shut them off, and you had to turn the monitor off separately. Yes, transistors replaced tubes... and technically, all electronic devices of today - including your iPod is transistor-based... But, they don't really call iPods, or even the good old boom box transistor radios. Basically... the Integrated Circuit radios are not called Transistor Radios anymore...
