James J. Hamula - Sunday a.m. Session

Recommended Posts

Partaking in the sacrament is to promise to follow and keep the commandments.

After the restoration, the Lord established the Sacrament just as it was done with the original apostles.

With torn and broken bread we signify that we remember the body of Jesus Christ.

When taking bread we acknowledge that like Christ, our bodies will be restored to a perfect state.

In taking water we acknowledge that he took our sins to himself.

With bread and water we are reminded of Christ’s redemption for us.

With the power of the restoration all of us will be restored to the presence of God.

While every one of us will return to the presence of God, not every one of us will live with Him.

No unclean thing can dwell in His presence.

In partaking of the sacramental water we are taught how we might be made clean.

Upon our receipt of the Holy Ghost we are cleansed and purified.

We declare that we will always remember God’s precious son.

We are making solemn commitments to exercise faith.

We declare that we will keep His commandments.

We declare that we are willing to take upon the name of the Son.

We are promised that we will have His spirit to be with us.

The most important event in time and eternity is the atonement of Jesus Christ.

The ordinance of the Sacrament helps us faithfully endure to the end.
