Our Heavenly Father prepared an enabling plan such as the Great Plan of Happiness or the Plan of Salvation. In the pre-mortal life if we agreed with His plan we would be blessed with a physical body. We were promised a resurrected and glorified body after death. Things that needed to happen for the Plan of Happiness to be successful: Creation of the earthCondition of mortalityRedemption from the FallSetting for our physical birth and subsequent rebirth God ordained that men and women should marry and give birth to children. This creates a partnership with God. God also ordained that parents should teach children in all righteousness. Nothing relative to our time on earth can be more important to our immortality than birth and rebirth. A family built on the Lord’s plan is the best setting to survive and flourish. Marriage doesn’t rest on social science but on truth. No mortal can alter the nature of marriage. It is God’s law. Satan attacks everything that is sacred about human sexuality. He seeks to convince men and women that marriage and family priorities can be ignored or abandoned for wealth and personal achievements. Many things are good and are important but very few are essential. Everyone has gifts and has talents and can contribute to the divine plan.
