pam
Not unless you start praying to them and having statues in your home that you idolize. RMGuy, Sunday21 and Jane_Doe
Guest
I'd love to start a food blog. And given my appetite, I think I'd be in danger of being accused of worshipping food. Once again. No, I am not over 200 lbs.

The Folk Prophet
Do you think that running a blog of your favorite band is worshiping idols? The sin of idolotry refers to, I think, modern day focus, what's important to us, etc. Anything can become idolotry if it becomes too important--particularly to the point of taking us away from things that are more important. It strikes me that running a blog on a band runs the risk of doing just this. But it isn't, point-blank, a black-and-white, yes-or-no sort of thing. I would carefully consider priorities and motivations in making such a decision.

If lets say something BIG came out on a sunday and during church you HAD to excuse yourself to update your blog, maybe you are in a way idolizing them too much. If it is something that you enjoy with extra free time that doesn't occupy your thoughts all day/every day, then sounds like a good hobby. Personally I think musicians (along with other celebrities, athletes, etc) get enough un warranted idolization as it is that they don't need another blog, but to each their own!
