Guest
I'm looking for ideas for bonding activities specifically. Fun, hopefully, because we will be putting on some (short) classes on different aspects of sisterhood, and we want to follow those up with fun. It will probably be in a lodge (at a church camp) in January, so they have to work inside.
Sunday21
we pin a piece of paper to each sister's back. Each sister writes something that they admir about the sister on the piece of paper. Everyone seems to like this. We ask each sister to contribute a shoe. We try to guess who contributed the shoe. beefche
Girl's Camp activities would work great on Old Women Camp activities as well. Have a theme and then plan activities/devotionals to that theme. I remember one year at GC that the theme had a scripture that incorporated shoes--we had to bring or draw a shoe that represented us. We had tennis shoes, high heels, comfy loafers, house shoes, etc. It had something to do with being an individual and working together to be young women of God. cdowis
No, I haven't. But not for a lack of trying.+++++++++++++++ Anyway, this is lots of fun --divide them up into small groups. The "designated person" then tells five things about themselves, but one of them is fiction. The group tries to guess which one was a lie. The other way to play it is to have someone write on a paper four true things about themselves that the others would not know. The "group moderator" then reads the description and the group tries to guess which one in the group it describes. The written papers should be prepared in advance and given to the moderator so that she can pick the most interesting ones. Both of these are very bonding and you learn about each other. this would probably work best with the RS sisters, considering their life experiences are so varied.
