thoughts
I think that when you have real evidence of ward member doing something you think will hurt other members, you need to bring it to the bishop's attention so that he can make sure that ward lists are not being used, that members are not being solicited at church and that those involved are told that they should not analyze the opportunity on the basis that it is offered by a member of the church to which they belong. Guest
Wow. Serious question: Is this a Utah thing?Nah. Happens in Florida too. People get into it thinking it's a stay-at-home job without having to work.I'm actually an MLM'er. I use Arbonne cleansers and the only way to buy it is through an MLM'er. So I went to a party, learned all about the business, junked all the MLM gimmicks they were employing and bought what I needed fir myself. I told several people about Arbonne products and they bought stuff too. I was making $100 a month after spending $60 a month which paid for my personal Arbonne stuff and $40 extra.Yes, I could've made a whole lot of money and a Mercedes Benz but I don't want to work as a salesman...Oh right - they tell you at the party - you won't have to sell anything! That's a load of crap.
NeuroTypical
Yep, at it's core, an MLM is merely a business structure where the owners cut costs by not having a paid sales force. They urge their customers to be salespeople. It's kind of like the force. Anatess is a Jedi. Lots and lots of Sith out there.

Anyone who can turn an MLM discussion into a Star Wars analogy is as wise as Master Yoda and as powerful as Master Windu.

Guest
And why did Episodes 4, 5, 6 come out before Episodes 1, 2, 3? Because Yoda got involved. Edited December 2, 2015 by anatess
