Hello
I've done a familytreedna DNA test and I discovered surprisingly that I descend from an American family from Richfield Utah of mixed Swedish (Nielson) and Ulster Scot (Allen) heritage.
Here below my autosomal as well as Y-DNA matches.

I'm curious to learn about my story and dont know if it was an npe or baby switch or adoption.

Hi Winnaruz,

I did the familytree DNA mouth swab test thing too.  Pretty fascinating!  Is there a group for your family name?  You'll probably have better luck connecting with folks that way, then by posting names here.  I have a group on the familytree website that puts me in touch with ever dna match person, who has given their info and consents to be contacted.

I find this stuff fascinating.  Looks like you do too!

Wouldn't a saliva test just show the dna of everyone who licked you? (or are you not a cookie in real life?)

I was thinking that a saliva test would tell people I am a pig who's chicken, and I'm full of bull and bologna.

Thanks

It stands for "non paternity event".

I don't really understand.  Couldn't you just ask your parents?  Are they still living?

I suppose you could also tell I am a turkey and at times a bit of a ham.

Be careful, those ham readings may be coming up from someone else's saliva. Have you kissed a ham recently??

I've seen it in my family tree, where a man died, leaving several wives and 20+ children. The youngest children, left without a father to provide, were raised in other families.

Some of my family roots go back to Richfield. The family in the case above, were in Holden (50 miles from Richfield).
