Sunday21
@Backroads. Today's experiment. 4 chicken breasts, cut into cubes, frozen California mix and frozen butternut squash. Every was frozen, partially defrosted everything for 10 minutes each in three lots. Browned chicken first in cooker, left chicken on bottom, added veggies. cooked 17 minutes with 1 1/3 cups of water. Concerned that lid did not lock, did it anyway, lid locked once pressure built up. food still too watery. Used slotted spoon to dish out. Tasted ok. the experiment continues! any luck on your end? Backroads
@Sunday21 I am late in posting this. Three days ago, I cooked rice with onion in the pressure cook in a separate fashion from beans. The beans turned out slightly dry, but the rice was great. anatess2
This is how we ended up with the Yard Guy. My idea of adulting is hiring somebody to do the things I don't like doing. Sunday21 and Backroads

I guess it depends on what kind of frozen food. I've been using an Instant Pot for over a year and put in frozen corn for chili (I'm sure I've put in something else, but it eludes me at the moment). Also, I think I've seen videos where people just dump in frozen meat, like the bags of chicken tenders or thighs. If you want a new taste sensation - try an air fryer. Good googa mooga. I've made everything from chicken tenders for my son, to cherry pies and a cake in it. Great corn on the cob, and good veggie food. It's an amazing appliance. As for mowing lawns...that's why God made men. Hey, I never said I wasn't a traditionalist. Backroads and Sunday21
Southern_Bell
To me, adulting means regularly doing the things I don't want to do because they have to be done, and it is my job to do it. And with that in mind, I have to go clean my toilets. Sunday21
