I think it's a shame they didn't go with this idea. It would certainly have been criticized as shark-jumping, but maybe that's what was needed. Instead the show limped lamely on for another two seasons: Gareth Hunt (who played Blake himself) left in Season 3 and Season 4 didn't even have Servelan in it: she died (in rather stupid circumstances, ill-befitting an evil genius like her) at the end of Season 3. Jacqueline Pierce as the evil (and totally cool) Servelan, inserted for reference. After her "stupid death" ("~~it's funny cos it's true") there was little point in watching that show - though I suppose Avon could be pretty cool when he was in a mean mood. I consider it a feature of the Star Trek franchise. Episodes with time travel in the original series include: s01e19 - Tomorrow is Yesterday; s01e28 - The City on the Edge of Forever; s02e26 - Assignment: Earth; s03e23 - All Our Yesterdays I may have missed some. Oh, I forgot about the Animated Series. I've only seen one episode of that but a quick google search suggests it may only have had one time travel episode. That Raumpatrouille show looks promising. Continuing the spoilers - Dude's golden path meant to squeeze humanity into stagnation for just long enough to have it explode out into the universe in oodles of ways that never would have happened if Leto just had let things be. Overall, it was the right thing to do for humanity. I mean, assuming dude was really a god who could see all the paths of humanity, and that one really was the way out of stagnation and eventual collapse.
