She even makes sure she gets the things she doesn't have a testimony of 100% accurate. She's awesome. I hear a lot of stories that also align with my personal experience that goes this way: I start off with a calling I didn't like and had to struggle through... a year or 2 later I start getting the hang of it, get comfortable, and start to love doing it and soon thereafter, I get released. It's been a repeating cycle for me. Grunt

How did Primary Activities go? It went OK, I think. We asked the parents to attend and pretty much laid it out that our work is to support the children's goals, so it's important that they set them. The next meeting will be with just the primary children, where we are going to set activities as a group that assist our communal goals (which will hopefully support individual goals). That makes sense in my head. Not sure it does here.

I don't think there's one "right" answer here, rather both approaches are right if they work for the people involved. I do see benifits in both approaches. anatess2 and Grunt

Therefore, the students who don't participate do miss out on projects with their peers, but they don't really "miss" anything if that makes sense. They can just pop in and out as they choose, though we prefer they participate. Jane_Doe and anatess2

We're in the same school board. Same problem - switching elementary school to online home school are driving parents crazy. Middle and High School is not as bad - they can be left to do stuff on their own. Grunt and Jane_Doe

My daughter is 6, and I would love he to have that option of peer stuff. But I"m also at the same time drowning in figuring out life here-- she NEVER stops running and I'm suddenly having to figure out how to teach stuff (and even what to teach). And as soon as I get my feet under me, something else changes and got to figure everything out again. Grunt

The Church used to have a dedicated group of online missionaries at the referral center. Now some missionaries take part as part of their regular duties.
