If your child has ever told you "I'm supposed to give a talk in primary today!" as you are getting dressed for church, this is the site for you. I know it happens to me all the time!

LDS Primary Talks

It has two minute primary talks, scriptures and music for every week of the year. All based on the 2008 primary theme "I am a Child of God". Talks are being added every few days. Talks for the first part of the year are already posted.

Thank you so much for this link.

I had a look through and it is really, really good.

I plan on sending the link to all of the primary presidencies in our Stake.

Very helpful indeed.

I think talk help is great, but be sure not to miss the opportunity a talk assignment can be.

Our primary presidency gives the kids a talk slip with the date and the theme on it. From the get-go, I have had my children write their own talks in the following way. I interview the child, using questions that relate to the theme. I write the child's responses down, asking further questions if necessary to fill out the talk. Sometimes we'll read a related scripture and I let the child explain what it means to him.

This way, the child is truly sharing what he knows to be true, in his own words. The interview is a great way for a child to explore his own testimony, and it's a priceless window into his heart for me. The talk reflects the child, little or big, and he isn't just repeating someone else's words.
