What is it exactly that you think happens in a Hooters Restaurant? have you ever even been to one?

Sup Seam,

Bruh, I don't know. Like a bunch of women in really tight tank tops serve you wings or the other crappy food they have on the menu.

My Bro Gator used it in his example. So I used it in mine. I still wouldn't open one. If staring at women's bosoms is no big deal to you then I am afraid there is nothing else to say here.

Are you under the impression that when you go into a Hooters restaurant there's a rule that says, you must stare at the servers' bosoms to get served? I'm sure there are no such rules. I'd bet they'd be happy to serve you if you treated them with respect no matter what they are wearing.

Sure, the majority men go there for the food. Riiiight.

Here is their online description:

I have no idea how the restraunt became the main focus but I really like these two comments from Reddit:

"It commodifies women's bodies as background decoration for a restaurant that is otherwise basically just Applebee's."

"I would say it commodifies women's bodies as foreground decoration. No one goes to Hooters for the fries. If people go to Hooters, it's because they want to be able to stare at and enjoy the explicit availability of women's bodies while also having a burger."

It's not the main focus. I was using it as an example of a business that a Christian shouldn't attend, much less operate. However, I make that decision strictly for @MormonGator. If someone else wants to operate or frequent the place, that's their own choice.

Seriously @Overwatch, you added those words at the end of your post; I'm assuming you had a reason. You must know what you meant by it, I'm asking for clarification. Unless of course, if it's something rude you are trying to convey and you don't want to explain the rudeness.

Take it however you want in a positive way Maureen. At the end of the day we are all here together sharing our opinions. Whether you mask your displeasure with my comments with snide, sarcastic response. See below:

It is our opinions and I don't need clarification on your rudeness, as it is seen plainly in your writings.

At this time we can agree to disagree on Hooters and leave it that. Thanks for understanding C :

Just curious, where do you draw the line? After all, virtually any job will have you encounter people whose choices you don't agree with.

You should draw the line at dishonesty. I would not work whereb I was expected to be dishonest. Much of America gets wealthy through porn, fraud, or simpo lies but it it is very difficult to work today and tell the truth. wickedness never was happiness. You may have to start your own company. Leaders bring you closer to Christ by having to make past their imperfections. We are all just humans with faults We must expect their faults to be real and not get down. I can only control

Alcohol is the most deadly DRUG.By for it is the real gateway drug. It is deadly and nothing is funny about it. Pot is wrong but mostly because it is illegal. If there was a way to trade what is legal deaths would decrease if drunks became potheads. Neither is good except both have medical uses

Hate to disappoint because I do not understand you. I haven't read many of your posts but it appears you don't like answering questions. Yes, part of my post had a sarcastic tone but I do sincerely want to understand what you mean by comments I'm not familiar with, whether they're rude or not. Since you're not interested, I'll try my best to ignore you.

Thanks for acknowledging your sarcasm. Also you don't have to try, they provided us with ignore buttons for a reason. I believe you can just click on my profile and block from there. I am not at all offended either. I totally get that we can only take some people in small doses. That's the beauty of sharing ideas lol

I'm not familiar with this slang, what does it mean?

M.

As you have discovered, Overwatch seems to be in denial of other people's ignorance of the idioms he uses.  I have no clue why he has so much difficulty owning is own words and acknowledging that not everyone on the internet is familiar with every slang term on the planet, but he does, and it's proven pointless thus far to try to convince him.  In that light, I googled:

Telling someone to "get wrecked" (in the context of a game) can be similar to telling someone to "go kill yourself." Implicit in the imperative is that the person it's directed at is so bad or that the commentator hates them so much that they ought to just go kill or wreck themselves.

Of course, as is common with slang, it is often used with heavy amounts of irony or non-seriousness.

It can also be used as a standard imperative instructing the interlocutor to get wrecked or destroyed. The slight irony here is that you give the imperative after the wrecking has already happened.

WHEN SOMEONE JUST GOT BEAT AT SOMETHING, USUALLY THEIR BEST ACTIVITY OR SPORT, PEOPLE WILL OFTEN USE THIS TERM TO BE MEAN IN SUCH A WAY.

AWWW....... MAN! DID YOU JUST SEE MICHAEL GET WRECKED?

It appears to be a way of claiming victory.  I'll need to consult the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy to determine the proper verb tense name when imperative is used to proclaim past tense - the imperative past?  Past imperative?  Future imperative past?

Hey there you go. Pretty much nailed it. But as far as being mean, I don't know Maureen and this was our first interaction. I only reciprocate sassy for sassy.

Quite pretentious but you are one of my favorites here so it will be overlooked. We all have something to work on C;

Not really. The overwhelming majority of Americans (even the wealthy)  are decent and hard working people who do not "get wealthy through porn, fraud or lies"

Hey Gator,

Was he though? Seemed more like using me as a prop to make a joke and show off his grammar skills.

Either way not a big deal. There seems to a certain sarcastic and passive aggressive air to a lot of regulars here. Not all of course. I am just straight forward, bald eagle screaming in your face, ya know,  kick your door in with my cowboy boots kind of guy.

Yes. He's a FB friend and I know his sense of humor. He's a great guy who I'm sure meant no harm.

99% of people here are amazing and kind people who aren't sarcastic or passive aggressive in the least.

Glad to hear it.

Maybe because you all know each other in a tight clique. Not a bad thing and lucky for me I am not easily swayed by perceived rudeness. Just need to get to know you all i am sure.

So you have never been? is that what I am getting from your posts? Since you can only find quotes from Reddit.

I HAVE been to Hooters. Recently. There was a time about a decade where the food was crappy, but guess what big boobs couldn't keep people coming when the food was bad so a few years ago they revamped the menu and now the food is decent. The women is tight tank tops and short shorts are just a bonus.

I checked out the meaning online too but wasn't sure I was getting it, so thought @Overwatch could provide a better meaning since they were his words. I'm guessing it's his way of saying "So there!"
