NeuroTypical
[Singing to the tune of 'popcorn popping'...] I went to the online donation form, and what did I see? Seriously folks. When was the last time you can remember a charitable cause telling you "oh, please, no more - we have enough money"? This rocks. It was intended to be self-sustaining. The church makes education loans to poor folks in poor countries. Those folks get educations that lift themselves and their families out of the eternal cycle of intergenerational poverty. The folks pay back the loan with interest, sufficient to cover the administrative expenses of running the thing. And it's working so well, they want me to stop giving them money. This is what it looks like when YOUR CHURCH ROCKS!!! Just_A_Guy, mordorbund, person0 and 7 others 9
Lost Boy
I have been petitioning to remove the Perpetual Education fund and replace it with the Lost Boy new home fund. So far I have not succeeded, but I am sure they will come around. Sunday21, askandanswer and NeuroTypical

NeuroTypical
Not sure the church publishes stuff to that detail. FoolsMock
What exactly is this used for? I remember when it was announced but I was a kid and wasn't paying attention. Can my non-member friend (in a very delicate financial situation) take advantage of it for finishing her bachelor's degree?
