Here are just 10 golden nuggets of marriage advice they've shared over the years that we can (and should) put into practice right now. 1. "Control your tempers" This counsel comes from President Gordon B. Hinckley's October, 2007, Priesthood Session talk, Slow to Anger. It's fantastic. Here's an excerpt with both a plea and a promise: Now, my dear brethren, in closing I plead with you to control your tempers, to put a smile upon your faces, which will erase anger; speak out with words of love and peace, appreciation, and respect. If you will do this, your lives will be without regret. Your marriages and family relationships will be preserved. You will be much happier. You will do greater good.
