Quote And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. -- Rev 14:8 Babylon is often used as a symbol for "the world" or worldliness. But here, it seems like it is talking about a particular nation that exemplifies worldliness. And t was a nation that was so powerful that all nations wanted a piece of that worldliness. Based on this and context from surrounding verses, I'm inclined to think that this is America. America will fall before the days of tribulation are in full bloom, where we are "ripe for destruction".
