Joseph Smith, restorer of the Church of Jesus Christ in these latter days.

3 Nephi 22:16 (Isaiah 54:16) Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work...

(Fwiw, I think the internal evidence is overwhelming that Nephi was a metalsmith.)

I used to get contact lenses in Salt Lake by a guy named Dr. Bogus.  I'm happy to say this thing isn't an automatic truth.   He was a very genuine Dr.    And also, when they came to Salt Lake to film Steven King's The Stand, he also provided yellow contacts which were used by the motherly prophet lady.

I assume some choice is inherent in the matter.  A co-worker told me the story of Richard Tingle, who didn't have to take the pride in introducing himself that he did.  But he did.  With flair, and much obvious enjoyment.

I remember a famous short track race car driver named Dick Trickle. I think he was famous mostly for his name, which I can't really see has anything to do with race car driving. But perhaps it's meaningful that "race car" is a palindrome.

Liberace claimed that his first frisky girlfriend was Miss Bea Haven.  (Say it fast.)

The sad circumstances around Liberace's health and death seem to cast doubt on whether that was her real name, or whether she was even a woman, but it's still a nifty name.  I almost named my cat after her.

You realize of course, that Liberace was a homosexual, right?

LOL.  Yes, in the second half of my original post when I wondered whether Liberace's first misbehavin' girlfriend was not a woman, I meant "she" was probably a man, not an underage girl or something else.  But I probably shouldn't laugh.  I read a biography of Liberace some years ago, and the only thing I remember (besides Ms. Haven) is that I would not want to live his life.
