Princess3dward Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 This is just a fun topic for everyone. I am just curious. Say you could meet a church leader!!! That would be SO COOL! To see what he has to say! What would you ask? Quote
Alaskagain Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 I meet "church leaders" every week. If you mean a GA, or Apostle or member of the Presidency, well I think I would just be quiet and let them talk! Quote
Princess3dward Posted January 2, 2008 Author Report Posted January 2, 2008 I mean apostle or member of the presidency. And I guess you wouldn't need to meet them them. You see them talk twice a year. Quote
Alaskagain Posted January 2, 2008 Report Posted January 2, 2008 and so can you! :) and I have had the privilege of hearing some of them in person, albeit in very large rooms with several thousand other people. It strengthened my testimony each time. Quote
Princess3dward Posted January 2, 2008 Author Report Posted January 2, 2008 I know I can. That is not why it would be cool to meet one. I hear them talk all the time whenever I want to. They never answer any of my questions. They always make more. Quote

I have had the opportunity to talk to a few GA's in private. As a youth I personally knew Hugh B. Brown first councilor to President David O. McKay. In a quiet moment I asked Hugh B. Brown if we should support our bishop, even if we know (no doubt what-so-ever) he is wrong.Elder Brown looked me straight in the eyes and said that we should support our bishop, especially if he is wrong for he will need our support more then than at any other time. The Traveler Quote
Canuck Mormon Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 I think I would be too embarrased to ask anything, because it would seem so trivial. Quote
MichaelPAGuy Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 I think I would just faint from nervousness. Quote
Palerider Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 I have met several GA's. I have been interviewed by Elder Dallin Oaks about 2yrs ago. That was awesome!!!!! Quote
wokie Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 Met Elder Ballard when he and his wife came to Australia 6 or 7 years ago. It wa awsome just being in his presence! Quote

Tom Perry have to say--in a stake conference--that it was his job to kick you in the shins, when you got too irate, for your own good?"And, as a corollary to that, "Elder Packer, why are you so dour, most of the time, if the Gospel is the source of all happiness? Do you have too much on your plate?"
NateHowe Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 I have met several General Authorities, each time briefly. Honestly, when I am in the situation, I have nothing to ask. The answers they would give are in the scriptures and General Conference addresses. Anything not covered there is probably not something I need answered at this point. Quote
CJchick84 Posted September 8, 2008 Report Posted September 8, 2008 I would like to meet the Pope....and just ask him how he came to know that this is what God choose for him. Quote

Then I would just sit and listen and absorb all his love. I think about what it must have been like hearing him preach His gospel!!!!:) Quote
