mirkwood
Posting this link is against Facebook community standards. smh. https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/manual/religious-freedom/religious-freedom?lang=eng

Guest Scott
See here: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.millennialstar.org/facebook-bans-church-website/amp/ Apparently if enough people flag a link as inappropriate, it gets banned until reviewed. It looks like it's back up. Edited August 28, 2019 by Scott

JohnsonJones
It would be great if this became something that people saw around the internet. The irony is that it is the Religious Freedom that is banned.

Yes I was able to post it, but now it got flagged as spam so it's under review. Weird. I'll let you know what the review says. NeuroTypical
This is a call to action for everyone with a facebook account. 1. Go to Facebook. 2. Try to post this link: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/manual/religious-freedom/religious-freedom 3. If it gives you the screen Mirk shows us at the top of the page, click the "let us know" link, and (politely) explain why it should not be blocked. I posted something like this: "This link is for my church's webpage talking about religious freedom. Surely such things can't be against your community guidelines - there must be something wrong with your filter. Please review and fix this!" mirkwood
Emmanuel Goldstein
I posted it a few days ago and it is still there. NeuroTypical
Anddenex
Yep, I was just blocked. Image here: [mods deleting, you probably didn't want all that personal info out there] I just posted this screen capture for all my friends on Facebook to view. Jedi_Nephite
It’s blocked for me as well. I suppose Facebook realized that the standards of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was well above their “community standards.”
Vort
Me, too. It has obviously been blocked all week. This is not some mere accidental oversight.

Regardless, this is a problematic sign for society at large. Consider how many moderators have potentially been given the opportunity to review the banned link, and yet have intentionally passed upon the opportunity to reverse the block. scottyg

Grunt
As an aside, if some of you are concerned with PerSec, you may want to edit your screenshots. Edited August 31, 2019 by Grunt NeuroTypical and mordorbund
Ironhold
If you have MS Paint, then you can load your image into that and simply mark over your details. Once done, you can manually save the image under a new name. mirkwood
