WARNER TODD HUSTON -- NOVEMBER 6, 2019

International airline Delta has agreed to allow graphic gay sex scenes to appear in movies shown during flights, according to reports.

In a statement published this week, Delta rushed to tell homosexual activist groups that it had not requested to have “homosexual content” removed from movies shown on its flights.

“We value our in-flight entertainment options as a means to reflect the diversity of the world,” the company statement said. “We are reviewing the processes of our third-party editing vendors to ensure that they are aligned with our values of diversity and inclusion.”

Fox News reported that Delta said it is immediately putting a new process in place for managing content available through Delta’s entertainment services.

How about no graphic sex? Gay, trans, pan, bi, A, furry, or straight?

100% correct. A plane isn't really the place to show R rated movies.

Apparently the article says only Delta Airlines has decided to do this.  So other airlines are likely not showing movies on their flights with graphic sexuality in them.  This makes me not want to fly with Delta Airlines in the future unless they change their policy on this.

I understand. If I had children I wouldn't want to fly Delta either.

I thought the Airlines had a policy of not showing graphic sexuality (including nudity) and editing out some choice words in our language out of movies (hence airplane movies).  I admit I have not watched any movies on the airlines as of late as I normally bring my own tablet with my own movies these days (I actually bring a book, a tablet, and an Ipod touch, as overseas flights can be lengthy).

Has this changed?

If it has, I can understand them saying they will show this as they already would show graphic scenes in the other movies.

If it has not, I think this would be more of a discussion of material which shows homosexuality such as two women holding hands or such, rather than graphic pornographic scenes found in R-rated or other such movies at times.

Airplane Movies are called Airplane Movies for a reason.  They are "Edited for format and content".  You usually see that message flash on the screen before the production company logos roll.

There's no set standard for airplane movies.  Each airline have their own standards.  For example - if you're riding Lufthansa, nudity is not edited out but gore is.  If you're riding Cathay Pacific, nudity is edited out but gore isn't.  Etc. etc.

The Delta announcement is exactly a change to the Delta standards that they're not going to edit out homosexual acts just like they don't edit out heterosexual acts.  Before that, Delta edited out homosexual acts in the same manner that they edit out full frontal nudity.  Now, hetero and homo sex scenes are treated the same way.
