Interestingly, even with all the gaffes, poor debate performances, the Burisma scandal, etc etc... he’s still topping the Democrat primary polls.

Despite the fact that his own party is trying to destroy his chances, I still think Biden is probably the best chance for the Democrats to win the general election.  In addition, he is somewhat more moderate than most of the other candidates and thus appeals to those that are not so far left as the fringes of the party.  Those Democrats (which I think are normally a majority) want someone who is more in the middle than the far left liberal side of the party.

I, of course, like Bernie far more, but I understand why many would prefer Biden.

I get the feeling there are those that do not want him in the running though.

I like Tulsi, even though I'd never vote for her.

Bernie is the only candidate that has ever actually made me scared. His plans only “benefit” the poor and middle class that have no intention to get out of the rat race of life. He sees the billionaires of the world and he wants to fund his ideas with their money, take for the innovative and give to the sheep.

Rich people are the villains in their world.

It blows my mind that people want to take money from Amazon and give it to everyone else. Jeff started it as a small online book store, now it has grown to o e if the largest companies in the world. The dems talk about helping the small business owners, but the second they succeed, they want to drag them back down.

What makes me sad: People forgot (or were never taught) the realities of Socialism, and started falling for it again, and all it took was time.

Amen. The people who are actually living under the threat of socialism (Hong Kong, Venezuela) are desperate to get out of it. Bernie Sanders, and his voters, want to enslave us.

Oh, I don't have to think ill about Bernie Sanders or anyone else. I'm almost positive he's not evilly plotting to enslave America.  I think he's just as sold on the good-feeling lies about Socialism as all the other idiots.  If everyone did things his way, life would indeed be better and more fair for everyone!   The devil in the details, of course, is that tiny little two letter word "if".  It spins a false reality that runs contrary to human nature.

You can't get that "if", and when someone tries, socialism gets more and more authoritarian as the govt tries more and more things to force people to act contrary to their nature.  Or the whole thing just collapses and everyone starves and all the smart people leave. Nobody wants that, not even Bernie and his voters.  It's just an inevitable direction trying those paths take.

Your 21 year old niece who thinks socialism is cool and hip thinks that way, I'm not sure the 65 year old socialist college professor or Bernie Sanders does.

I disbelieve this, actually. Socialism is fundamentally a lie. Yes, it runs contrary to the reality of human nature, but it also runs contrary to the reality of, well, reality. It is a forced solution to a problem that fundamentally will not respond to compelling force. It is fixing a defective crystal with a sledge hammer. It not only does not work, it cannot work.

That's not what it took.  It took Marxists to invade the Education Institutions and for parents to leave the care of their children to the state.  Take them when they're young.

Not Bernie Sanders.  He did not get rich and powerful because of Socialism.  There's zero probability that he doesn't know this.
