prisonchaplain
This lesson explores how devastating Saul's decline was. Vort
Saul is a tragic case. Such promise in innocence, only to be overshadowed with what Latter-day Saints would call "the natural man". The idea of Saul clinging vainly (in every sense) to his kingship even after being divinely stripped of any real authority should serve as a sobering reminder to us all of what king Solomon would later call the vanity of laboring for glory. prisonchaplain
