dprh 328 Report post Posted July 29, 2020 I'm finally really starting to try indexing. The first document that came up for me was a marriage index page. The instructions have been pretty easy to follow and I was moving along fine for a while. The page I'm on is a list of Brides and part of it shows the Groom's name. One of the grooms is a Junior. I don't see anything in the instructions on how to record that. Does it go in the Given Name or the Surname section? I don't see anywhere else it might go. Thanks! JohnsonJones 2045 Report post Posted August 17, 2020 (edited) @dprh Sorry about the late reply... I am not a specialist in this matter by any means. If there is no place for something to go (such as a Jr., III, or IV), you probably would put it behind the Given name. However, I have also seen it done behind the Surname as well. My thoughts are to have it behind the given name...but for further questions you can contact Family Search. There are different ways to contact them. contact family search A good place to ask this question probably is their own forums. Family search indexing help PS: I think they also have a phone number you can call at 1-866-406-1830 Edited August 17, 2020 by JohnsonJones 1 dprh reacted to this
