California Gov. Gavin Newsom said on X: “My thoughts are with President Trump and everyone impacted at the rally today.

Sen. Chuck Schumer, of New York, said in a statement that he was “horrified” by what had happened and was "relieved that former President Trump is safe.”

There's always a fear of reciprocity in politics, and that's a good thing. Political violence is the nightmare scenario for any politician. No one is ever going to wish that on a political enemy, at least not openly.

As much as I would like to see the hypocrite and Liar-in-Chief crucified (figuratively) for this statement, it's obvious what he meant, and that he wasn't calling for someone to shoot Trump. What he was clearly calling for was for as many people as possible to criticize and find fault with Trump. I doubt that truthfulness of accusation was one of his criteria. But the point is, as disgusting as Joe Biden is, he wasn't calling for Trump's (literal) assassination. This kind of thing is exactly what I hate about conversing with leftists, who seek diligently to make a man an offender for a word. This should be nipped in the bud.
