@Just_A_Guy got into a fight with a waffle house cook one time. Dude can throw done when his eggs aren’t done correctly.

Just like you have to break a few eggs to make an omelette, sometimes you have to break a few line cooks to create one decent chef.

Must be raining now.

It is, at least for us.

Unsurvivable seems quite the over reaction

Absolutely, 100% correct. When we scare people over every mouse, they won’t pay attention when the wolves come. The damage the media and doomsayers do is ridiculous.

Looks like the Ray's Stadium had it's roof blown off and a crane fell on the News Building in Tampa.  Also looks to have another crane fall in St. Petersburg and various roofs torn off, waist level flooding in the predicted flood zones, and toppled trees with some minor damage to downtown buildings. Looks like a hit on Disney World but I have no idea how much damage was done.  Hopefully not much as I think I may be taking the grandkids there next Spring.

Overall, from the news this morning it LOOKS like it didn't do half as much damage as many were expecting it too...which is good.  Hopefully that's what actually has happened and not just what it looks like from these early news after reports.

lol it’s funny watching the politicians go at each other over the federal govt hurricane response.

Harris and Desantis sniping at each other:

Quote

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) accused Vice President Harris of trying to insert herself into the Hurricane Milton cleanup effort after the two traded barbs this week about the storm.

CNBC’s Andrew Ross Sorkin asked DeSantis about his communication with the vice president after Harris accused him of playing political games by not taking her calls to discuss Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.

Biden taking the opportunity to attack Trump:

It’s called “The politics of personal destruction”.  Rush Limbaugh made a 30+ year radio career over pointing it out. The situation doesn’t matter, use it as an attempt to smear your opponent.  The 80s through 2000s were decent times for the right, we were happy to sit back and point out how the left did this and we never did. That changed, and now we do it as much as anybody. I’m sad to see that change.

But yeah, the left did it first, and the left continues to do it best. else remember the left reaction to President Bush during hurricane Katrina? Kind of the exact opposite to what they’re saying now, right?

The people who need gasoline, food, water and power don’t care at all about who is arguing with who, who started it, and all that drama.

It reminds me of divorcing parents too into themselves to realize their kid has a problem with depression and drugs and is spiraling down the drain.

We are cancelling elective cases because one of the producers of sterile fluids was impacted by Milton.

Sometimes it feels like we are hanging on by a thread and that we have no support system.  Despite the political propaganda.
