Because critics of The Book of Mormon have trouble piecing together a cohesive scenario of how Joseph Smith could have invented The Book of Mormon by himself (or even with accomplices), some people claim that he truly did receive divine help … but from Satan, and not God. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (otherwise known as the Mormon Church) believes that the Book of Mormon (another testament of Jesus Christ) contains the words of God, just as the Bible does.
