Descriptions:
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (otherwise known as the Mormon Church or the LDS Church) has a lot of similar doctrine to other religions. Because the Church is a christian religion, you’ll find a lot of overlap when it comes to the doctrine of Christ. However, there are some important differences. In this episode, we talk about our favorite doctrine found in the restored Church.
Mimi talks about the emphasis on families and more specifically, the doctrine that families can be together forever, through all eternity. (For more about eternal families, check out this talk by Elder Hales of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles: https://bit.ly/2SbzBPz)
Justin talks about how there isn’t a single mold that everyone must fit but that all are welcome to participate in the Church. He discusses the importance of individuality and the unique value that each person brings to the Church. (This was also emphasized by Elder Holland in a beautiful talk from General Conference: https://bit.ly/2ByeRKP)
Kwaku talks about how the miracles of Christ’s Church are still in full effect today, just as they were in ancient times. He mentions a few of the things that have continued through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
