Elder Dale G. Renlund of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (otherwise known as the Mormon Church) gave a talk in the October 2017 General Conference about the priesthood and the Savior’s atoning power.
In his talk given in the semi-annual General Conference held in Salt Lake City, Utah near Temple Square, Elder Renlund talks about the mission of a rocket and how it compares to the priesthood. He also emphasizes the power of the atonement of Jesus Christ in realizing the power of the priesthood.
He says, “For Heavenly Father’s purposes to be accomplished, Christ’s atoning power needs to be made available to God’s children. The priesthood delivers these opportunities.”
