We’re so excited to be talking about one of our favorite topics today! It’s very likely that you’ve heard people casually refer to something positive as “a blessing.” But what does the term mean in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? While members of the Church of Jesus Christ use ‘blessings’ as a term for something positive that God has given, it also refers to the laying on of hands using the authority of the priesthood to heal the sick, help those in need, and perform ordinances like the giving the gift of the Holy Ghost and so forth.
