Descriptions:
George Albert Smith was the 8th president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You’ve probably heard his name. You’ve probably seen his face. But you probably know next to nothing about the guy other than the fact that he had a sweet goatee and a lazy eye. In this video, Dave goes a bit deeper and sheds some light on why George was one of the most unique leaders in Latter-day Saint history.

Notes:
— As president of the Church, George emphasized preaching the gospel among Native Americans. As an interesting but probably unrelated side-note, his uncle (his father’s brother) was murdered as a teenager by a couple of Navajo men in 1862 (before George had been born). They justified the killing by calling it revenge for a number of Navajos that had been killed by white men at some point previously.
