Detroit Lions Draft Kyle Van Noy

1978

May 9, 2014

The Detroit Lions drafted Kyle Van Noy today in the NFL’s second round draft pick. Van Noy was the eighth pick in the draft after playing at Brigham Young University.

Van Noy had a troubled history, but changed his life in order to live his dream of playing for BYU. Van Noy’s life needed to reflect The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before he could represent a church owned school. After sitting out his first year, he was cleared to play and had three record setting seasons. Even though the NFL draft will determine his future, Van Noy said he would treat the draft like any other day.
