Google Bans Pornography Advertisements
LDS Living reports that Morality in Media met withย Google last month to discuss ways they could work together to help protect families, children, and individuals from inappropriate content.ย On June 6, Google sent out a letterย notifying of all its advertisersย thatย pornographic content will no longer be allowed.
In the letter, Google reminded advertisers of the policy change, warning them that their ads may not receive approval from Google:
“Beginning in the coming weeks, weโll no longer accept ads that promote graphic depictions of sexual acts including, but not limited to, hardcore pornography.”
Morality in Media also reports that Google will most likely no longer link to a site that containsย inappropriate material,ย even if the actualย advertising seemsย harmless.
