Thinking About Serving a Mission?
Before Alec served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he wasn’t sure if he should go. He debated it a lot—until someone he really respects told him something:
“Everything good in my life started with my mission. I tell all my friends, member or not, to go.”
Now that Alec has returned home, he understands why. He learned how to do hard things. He learned to get out of his comfort zone. He grew closer to Jesus Christ and gained a testimony of the gospel and the reality of God. But above all, he learned that he can do hard things—and that changed everything.
If you’re thinking about serving a mission, sincerely pray about it. It’s between you and God. But Alec can honestly say: it’s the best thing you can do with these 18 months or two years.
Pray about it—and go.
