This book is a retelling of the Greek myth of Psyche and Cupid--C.S. Lewis style. Yet this was unlike any other C.S. Lewis book i've read. The hubby felt like there must have been a heavy Tolkien influence. He described it as "C.S. Lewis through a Tolkien lens." I can't say i disagree.
