Descriptions:
In the Church of Jesus Christ (otherwise known as the Mormon Church), young adults are called to serve full-time missions. A member who chooses to serve will submit an application with no knowledge as to where in the world they will go. The leaders of the Church then determine where the person will go based on the need of missionaries in different areas and on inspiration.
HOWEVER. Culturally in the Church of Jesus Christ, it is believed that the mission to which you are going is the exact mission for you. So when missions change due to the inability to obtain a visa or other reasons, are you no longer where you are “supposed to be?”
In this episode, the hosts talk about their mission experiences and opinions as to whether or not there is a “correct” mission.
