Hey guys! Welcome back to another week of Unofficial Missionaries! We are so glad that you have tuned in again! Today we are going to be talking about something that so many people have questions about regarding The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Today we will be talking about Joseph Smith.
As members of The Church of Jesus Christ, sometimes known as Mormons, we believe that the Gospel was restored through a prophet that was called of God. We believe that during the year 1820, a young man by the name of Joseph Smith prayed to God and in a vision saw God and His son, Jesus Christ.
As part of this belief, we believe that Joseph Smith was called to be the first prophet during the Restoration and that since the time that he was alive, there has always been a prophet called to lead the Church under the direction of Jesus Christ himself.
