Eric Huntsman is the Academic Director of Brigham Young University’s Jerusalem Center and wrote, among other books, the excellent book ‘Becoming the Beloved Disciple: Coming Unto Christ Through the Gospel of John.’
I wanted to ask Eric about why John was called “The Beloved”? What does this imply, and what could be considered regarding the other apostles that clearly had a strong relationship with Jesus?
