Editor’s Note: This message was shared by President Russell M. Nelson during the dedication of the Syracuse Utah Temple on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the age of 100.

Have you ever wondered what your life would be like without the restored gospel? President Russell M. Nelson invites us to do just that… and marvel at all the Lord has given us:

“Consider how your life is different because of the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Through this restoration, you and I can be sealed with our loved ones for all eternity . We can receive God’s power, have the gift and ministry of the Holy Spirit, and even have angels watch over us.

“You and I can be sealed to our loved ones for all eternity! Think of the wonder of that! We can each be endowed with God’s power! We can each receive the gift and ministering of the Holy Ghost. We can have angels watch over us. Because of the Spirit of the Lord, we never need to feel alone.”

During the dedication of the Syracuse Temple, President Nelson shared a message full of comfort and promise:

“Through our temple worship, we will be blessed with peace, even in our most turbulent times. We will feel closer to our Heavenly Father and to our Savior, Jesus Christ. We will experience greater spiritual confidence.”

In the midst of life’s storms, there is one place where we can always find calm:

“As we sincerely seek Jesus Christ, we will find Him in His holy house. We will feel His mercy. We will find answers to our most vexing questions. We will better comprehend the joy of His gospel.”

And then President Nelson made a promise worth more than any treasure:

“I promise you that your time in the temple will bless your life in ways nothing else can. Regular worship here will protect you and your family.”

The temple is not just a sacred building. It is a refuge from heaven on earth. It is where prayers are answered, where peace replaces fear, and where we remember who we are and what our eternal destiny is.

How long has it been since you visited the temple? Perhaps today is the perfect time to relive the peace that can only be found there.
