In the April 2020 General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, President Russell M Nelson pronounced a new Proclamation to the World. The Church of Jesus Christ has issued very few official proclamations in the 190 years since the restoration of the Church. This one speaks specifically about the visitation of Jesus Christ and God the Father to Joseph Smith in 1820. We believe that Joseph Smith truly did see God the Father and Jesus Christ in the flesh. Jesus Christ has restored His church back to the earth; the same Church that existed when he left.
