In this episode, Dave talks about Article of Faith #2 of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (otherwise known as the Mormon Church or LDS Church). The article states, “We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.”
Dave reviews what original sin is, and why Latter-day Saints don’t believe in it, in the traditional sense. He explains that Latter-day Saints (often called Mormons) believe that each individual is responsible and accountable for their own decisions, not for the choices of others, including Adam and Eve. That said, while we may not be held accountable for the decisions of others, we may very well feel the negative effects of their decisions.
