Hey guys! Welcome back to another episode of Unofficial Missionaries! We are so glad that you have tuned in for another episode! Today Justin and Izzy will be talking about the times when the Gospel of Jesus Christ has not been fully present on the earth.
As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (sometimes known as Mormons), we believe that the Church is led by a prophet under the direction of Jesus Christ himself. After the crucifixion of Jesus Christ on the cross, he left his 12 Apostles that He had called to continue to teach His gospel. Over time these Apostles were killed and there was nobody left with the authority to lead the Church.
It is amazing to see how the Lord allows for time of darkness and confusion when the people on the earth did not follow Him.
We believe that today the Gospel has been restored to the earth and that we once more have a prophet to lead and guide us under the direction of Jesus Christ himself. We had the opportunity just this past weekend (April 6-7) to listen to the words of our prophet and the other leaders that have been called to lead the Church.
