UPDATE: In this video I mention that some of Joseph Smith’s bible translation efforts were influenced directly by the bible commentary of Adam Clarke. That assertion reflected the latest scholarship available at the time. After Joseph Smith finished translating The Book of Mormon, he spent the next few years making revisions to the Bible. Latter-day Saints (otherwise known as Mormons) refer to this collection of thousands of revisions as the JST, or Joseph Smith Translation. In this episode, Dave explains the several different types of changes Joseph made, how he made them, and how Latter-day Saints approach the JST today.
