How ‘Fadayet Beram’ Reflects the Love of Jesus Christ
In Persian culture, there’s a tender phrase often spoken between loved ones: “Fadayet Beram” — “I would sacrifice myself for you.” It’s not just a sweet saying, but a soul-deep promise: Your pain is mine. Your joy is mine. I’d give anything for you.
This phrase echoes the love of Jesus Christ, who didn’t just speak love — He lived it.
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” — John 15:13
Christ showed His love not just through His death, but through every act of healing, forgiving, and lifting. Like a mother hen, He longs to gather us in (3 Nephi 10:5), yet many still turn away.
Even now, He stands with open arms, offering peace and rest to our souls.
“Learn of me… and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” — Matthew 11:29
This Easter, we celebrate the One who sacrificed everything for us — our Savior, our Best Friend.
Happy Easter.
