His Grace: Drug Addiction and the Loss of a Loved One

His Grace, a video series released by the Mormon Channel, has posted a new video dealing with drug addictions and losses of loved ones.

The Beard family, who are featured in this video, lost their oldest son, Mikey, to a heroine overdose.Mikey had been struggling with his drug addiction for years and when he overdosed on Mother’s Day, decided that his addiction needed to stop.

After being clean for a year, Mikey tried heroine again which led to his demise.

Mikey’s parents tell his story and how his addiction wasn’t unique, as everyone experiences trials. They go on to say that through God’s grace, they have been able to heal and find peace and comfort while dealing with the loss of their son.

According to the Mormon Channel, 

This series is full of inspiring messages like this one from the Beard family, and others who have overcome serious challenges with the help of the Savior. The video series covers stories such as dealing with the loss of a loved one, battling addictions, and overcoming emotional disorders, showing that Christ has the ability to heal and comfort us through anything.
