Finding God in the Small Moments
While some people have dramatic spiritual experiences, like a “Joseph Smith moment” or a “Damascus moment,” most of us won’t experience such grand revelations. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t encounter divine moments in our everyday lives. Often, these are small rays of light — subtle moments where we feel peace, guidance, or a gentle reminder of God’s presence.
Instead of waiting for a life-changing vision, we can cherish these small moments. Keeping a journal dedicated to recording such experiences can be powerful. Writing down moments of inspiration or comfort creates a record that can remind us of God’s presence when we face challenges.
Over time, these small experiences build up, creating a deeper awareness of God’s involvement in our lives. They help us see that spiritual growth doesn’t come from one big moment but from a collection of everyday, divine encounters. By recording and reflecting on these moments, we grow closer to God and gain a stronger connection to His love and guidance.
