At 19, Ron Squire fell off a 35-foot cliff while on his mission. He broke his back, leg, and punctured his lungs. Doctors said he’d never walk again.

In that moment, everything changed—not just physically, but spiritually. “Pain can be beautifully transformative if you allow it to,” Ron shares. “I had to lose what I valued in the world to discover something deeper.”

He realized we are more than just our bodies. Pain, he says, can open the door to the eternal parts of ourselves—if we let it.

The real question isn’t whether pain will come. It’s this: What will you do with it?

Ron’s answer? “Pain is a privilege.”

What if the very thing you prayed would go away… is actually God’s invitation to know Him better? Ron Squire was living the life he planned, until a fall left him paralyzed and full of doubt. His faith didn’t feel like enough. But through the unlikely lens of Viktor Frankl, and a God who doesn’t waste suffering, Ron discovered something deeper: Pain isn’t punishment. It’s a privilege. And when you stop running from it… You might just find the faith you’ve been missing. #churchofjesuschristoflatterdaysaints #lds #prolds #latterdaysaint #mormon #byu #christian #mormontiktok
