“Next time you’re at the temple, keep an eye out for this common symbol. The circle within the square. This is not just a decorative pattern. The circle represents heaven or the dome of heaven, and the square represents the earth — often described as having four corners. The temple is where heaven and earth meet. Keep in mind also that the tools used to create these shapes are the compass and the square.”
