Descriptions:
Cortland was born into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but lost his faith at a young age when his parents divorced. During his childhood he witnessed alcoholism and excessive partying at home, and was a victim of bullying at school. To cope with feeling unloved, Cortland developed anger issues and people pleasing tendencies. After witnessing his stepfather’s return to the LDS Church, Cortland was inspired to do the same. Despite his fears, he chose repentance leading him to discover Heavenly Father’s mercy and love.
